Spring Break on Your Yacht: Fun Destinations

The exams are over, and it is time for a break. Spring Breakers will be looking for activities in March. Yacht owners can expect their vessels to be overrun by family and friends looking for their day in the sun. Where will you go this year? Many destinations for boaters are close to home, while others may require your entire week off. Following are a few points of interest for the best spring break, ever.

Florida’s Space Coast

From Jupiter to Palm Beach County, and all points north and south, boaters will take to the water on the coast of Florida. With some of the most active marinas, waterways, and the intra-coastal waterway (ICW), yachtsmen flock here year around. The Indian River Lagoon, Cape Canaveral, and other points of interest dot the Atlantic coastline and offer yacht owners many fun opportunities as vacation destinations.

Florida’s Palm Beaches

South of the Space Coast is the Palm Beaches of Florida. With 47 miles of beaches and waterways, the area offers water activities that include sailing, diving, swimming, water skiing, and other water activities. Access to your Grand Banks or Sea Ray yacht will be more accessible with a Sealift hydraulic lift. It will allow easier access from the water and is a handy place to dock your PWC or dinghy.

The Bahamas

Less than 100 miles from the Florida coast, Freeport is the closest port of call for spring break in the Bahamas. This destination is an easy run for many yachts, and the azure waters are the perfect spot to spend your downtime with family and friends. Take your trip a little further south, and the Abaco Islands beckon boaters to their pristine shores.

Wherever you go for spring break, enjoy your time on the water and stay safe.
